For the past seven years as a doctoral student my work on cryonics, both postmortem and embryonic, proceeded methodically, that is to say: slowly. However, I was invested in seeing it through and felt I had developed a pretty fine understanding of the processes, histories and philosophies. It was difficult letting go. Until today.The bottom line: when one's dissertation topic is featured in an episode of This American Life, that person should feel confident that the end was nigh.
